I was reading an old issue of adbusters and came across this...

'I think "Malignant Sadness" [Adbusters #30] would have been even more insightful if it had examined why women make up 75% of therapists' clients and two-thirds of all psychotic drugs are prescribed to us.
If you're trapped, abused, pimped, underpaid, ignored, put down, harassed, hit threatened, prostituted, etc., you may think you are depressed when in fact what you are is opressed. Patriarchy has kept women subjigated for centuries. Now we have to contend with the multi-billion dollar anti-depressant companies profiting from our inequality as well.'
